After looking at a lot of films, over a long period of time, we couldn’t find a decent new “Western” to screen at Film Club, so we chose something that looks like a western and sounds like a western…but isn’t a western!

Adapted by French Auteur Jacques Audiard from the best selling novel by Canadian-born author Patrick deWit, it was inspired by a book on the California Gold Rush which deWitt found at a car boot sale.
